The Road Development Authority (RDA) says steps will be taken to improve all connecting roads leading to expressway entrances and exits in a bid to reduce traffic congestion.
RDA Director General Anuradha Hettiarachchi said the improvements are aimed at easing traffic congestion on roads connecting to the expressway network.
Speaking to News 1st, he also said the reconstruction of all major roads that have not undergone repairs over the past 10 years has now commenced.
The RDA is expected to prioritize these road development and reconstruction projects to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion across the country.
