The Department of Registration of Persons has announced that its one-day service and all public services will not operate today due to a sudden computer system failure.
Accordingly, services at the head office in Battaramulla, as well as all provincial offices, have been temporarily suspended.
Officials stated that the disruption is due to ongoing recovery work following the system breakdown.
The department has advised the public that all services, including the one-day service, will remain unavailable until restoration work is completed.
