Customs officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport have seized a stock of foreign-manufactured cigarettes valued at approximately Rs. 30 million.
The consignment was found in 13 abandoned bags at the airport’s baggage claim area, containing around 1,000 cartons, equivalent to 200,000 cigarettes, brought from Dubai.
Authorities have taken steps to confiscate the entire stock and transfer it to the main Customs warehouse complex in Colombo for further action
