SLTB Launches Special Bus Services for Christmas Travelers

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has introduced special and additional bus services to accommodate increased commuter demand during the Christmas festive season, according to SLTB Supervisory Officer Indika Chandimal.

Special services are operating today and tomorrow from the Colombo Central Bus Stand, targeting long-distance routes to villages. Additional buses are also running from the Makumbura Multimodal Centre in Kottawa to cater specifically to travelers heading to the Southern Province.

Both day and night services are available, ensuring convenience for all passengers. Furthermore, 500 additional buses have been deployed from regional depots to transport commuters into Colombo.

These measures aim to provide seamless travel for those celebrating the festive season.
