A special mass was held this morning at All Saints Church in Borella to commemorate Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day.
The service was led by His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Archbishop of Colombo, who addressed the congregation with a strong call for systemic change.
The Archbishop urged the President, Prime Minister, and government ministers to reform the existing corrupt systems and work towards real freedom, unity, dignity, and democracy for the people of Sri Lanka.
He also emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law to ensure genuine economic progress, encouraging the government to stay committed to its ongoing efforts for national development.
