Sri Lanka has reaffirmed its position on doing business with India’s Adani Group and remains open to investment opportunities from the conglomerate, Cabinet Spokesperson announced on Tuesday.
Despite allegations against Adani Group executives in the U.S. regarding a bribery scheme for solar power deals in India—charges they have denied—Sri Lanka has stated it is “unconcerned” about the group’s dealings in other countries.
However, the government remains firm on negotiating power purchasing costs, particularly concerning the two proposed wind power projects that Adani has withdrawn from.
