Global travel magazine Time Out has named Sri Lanka the best destination in the world to visit in October 2025.
The magazine praised the island nation for its warm tropical climate, rich cultural heritage, and stunning natural beauty, making it an ideal choice for travelers during the month of October. From golden beaches and mountain treks to ancient ruins and wildlife safaris, Time Out highlighted Sri Lanka’s wide variety of experiences for visitors.
Turkey and New Mexico secured the second and third spots on the list, recognized for their autumn colors and seasonal festivals. Other destinations featured include Valencia in Spain, New York City, the Philippines, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Timisoara in Romania, San Francisco, and Namibia.
According to Time Out, the destinations were selected for their seasonal charm, cultural events, and unique travel experiences that are best enjoyed in October.
