The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has announced that 62,741 tourists visited the country during the first 12 days of October 2025.
According to official data, India remains the top source market with 18,299 arrivals, accounting for 29.2% of the total. It is followed by China (5,417), the United Kingdom (4,874), Germany (3,804), and Australia (2,954).
With the release of the latest figures, total tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka in 2025 have reached 1,788,235. Of this number, 292,633 visitors came from India, 166,767 from the United Kingdom, 125,035 from Russia, 110,792 from Germany, and 107,007 from China.
Meanwhile, September 2025 recorded 158,971 tourist arrivals, reflecting a 30.2% increase compared to the same month last year.
