The Embassy of Sri Lanka in China has announced an initiative to gather information from Sri Lankan students who have independently applied for higher education in China.
This measure is intended to ensure the embassy can provide timely assistance in emergencies, such as natural disasters.
The embassy has specifically urged students residing in regions like Ningxia and other areas of China to promptly share their personal details with the diplomatic mission.
Currently, the embassy maintains records only for students who arrived in China under government scholarship programs. This new initiative aims to broaden the database to include self-financed students, enhancing the embassy’s ability to support all Sri Lankan nationals pursuing higher education in China.
