Three Sri Lankan companies—Gralgo From Ceylon, Planet’s Finest and Ceylbee International—have been recognised at the Great Taste Awards, one of the world’s most prestigious and trusted food and beverage awards.
The British High Commission in Sri Lanka congratulated the three companies, noting that they are all supported by the UK Trade Partnerships (UKTP) programme, an initiative funded by the UK Government.
The High Commission described the achievement as a significant milestone in the companies’ growth and a reflection of their commitment to delivering high-quality Sri Lankan products to consumers in the United Kingdom.
Products submitted for the Great Taste Awards are assessed solely on their flavour through a rigorous blind-tasting process, with judges evaluating entries without considering their brand, packaging or price.
Fewer than one-third of products entered receive a Great Taste Star, making the recognition a mark of excellence and a valuable endorsement in international markets.
The British High Commission also congratulated other Sri Lankan companies that received recognition at this year’s Great Taste Awards.
