According to the updated advisory, several new cautionary indicators have been added. Travelers are advised to exercise increased vigilance due to risks including unrest, terrorism, and landmines, noting the possibility of potential instability in certain areas.
The advisory further encourages U.S. citizens to stay informed of local developments, avoid demonstrations, and follow the guidance of local authorities during their stay in Sri Lanka.
