The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that water supply to several areas will remain suspended until 8.00 p.m. today (05) due to an emergency breakage in the main pipeline transporting water from Ambatale to Kolonnawa.
According to the Water Board, the interruption affects consumers in the following areas:
- Moragasmulla
- Rajagiriya
- Nawala
- Obesekarapura
- Areas under the Kolonnawa Municipal Council
The NWSDB stated that repair work is currently underway to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible.
Authorities have urged residents in the affected localities to use available water sparingly and make necessary arrangements until services are fully restored.
The Board said further updates will be provided depending on the progress of repair operations.
