The Department of Meteorology says a few showers may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts today (01).
Elsewhere, mainly fair weather will prevail across the island.
Meanwhile, fairly strong winds of about 30-40 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills, and in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, and Central provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
