The Governor of the Northern Province, N. Vedanayagan, has announced that all government and government-approved private schools in the province will remain closed on February 27 (Thursday).
The decision follows the Maha Shivaratri holiday on February 26 (Wednesday).
To compensate for the lost academic day, classes will be rescheduled for March 1 (Saturday).
