A special national conference focused on Sri Lanka’s preparedness and strategic planning for nuclear energy commences today in Colombo, marking a significant step in the country’s efforts to diversify and strengthen its energy portfolio.
The event is organized by the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, with support from the Ministry of Power and Energy, which emphasized in a statement that developing and implementing a national nuclear energy plan is crucial for long-term energy security and enhancing electricity generation capacity.
