The Indian Navy ship INS Rana arrived at Trincomalee port yesterday for an official visit and was formally received by the Sri Lanka Navy.
INS Rana is a Rajput-class destroyer, measuring 147 meters in length and manned by a crew of 300 personnel.
During its stay, the crew will take part in training and sports activities organized by the Sri Lanka Navy, aimed at strengthening naval ties between the two countries.
The ship is scheduled to depart Sri Lanka on August 14.
