Ravi points out to the government that controlling a country’s expenditure is not as easy as it sounds from the opposition
Former Deputy Leader of the United National Party (UNP) MP Ravi Karunanayake said that managing a country’s expenditure and implementing development projects is far more challenging than it may seem from the opposition benches.
Speaking on a current affairs program broadcast on television, the MP said the current government should recognize this reality.
He added that the government is continuing the progressive path initiated by the UNP, and he expressed his appreciation for its efforts under the present circumstances.
Karunanayake also noted that it is encouraging to see the government, which had previously criticized the UNP while in opposition, now following the policies and initiatives introduced by his party.
