Power outages were reported in several parts of the island yesterday (08) due to a technical failure in a high-voltage transmission line.
According to reports, areas including Katupotha, Narammala, Siyambalagaskotuwa, Giriulla, Alawwa and Polgahawela were affected by the disruption.
Technical teams initiated repair work last night, and officials stated that efforts are underway to restore electricity supply to normal levels by early this morning.
