(CoPF) Maintains Silence on Visa Fiasco, Citing Sensitivity: CoPF Chairman Harsha de Silva

“The examination of the Sri Lanka visa outsourcing contract began at the CoPF in Parliament today. We will meet again on May 14 to continue the discussions. As Chair of the committee, this is all we wish to state to the media, given the ongoing sensitive nature of the matter,” Dr. de Silva stated today.

Dr. de Silva informed the Daily Mirror that he will refrain from commenting and disclosing details regarding the visa scam until after May 14.

Furthermore, he mentioned that the Controller General of Immigration and Emigration was tasked with investigating the breach of personal data. However, he declined to provide further details on this matter as well.
