Sajith Premadasa Urges Japan to Resume Halted Development Projects

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has called on Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Akio Isomata, to resume development projects that were discontinued midway.

The request was made during a meeting held in Colombo between Premadasa and Ambassador Isomata, according to a statement from the Opposition Leader’s media division.

Premadasa emphasized the importance of maintaining the strong and enduring diplomatic ties between Japan and Sri Lanka. He also assured the ambassador of his full support for the reimplementation of the previously initiated Japanese development projects in the country.

Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena, representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), was also present at the discussion.
