The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced that it will continue its raids to identify shops selling goods at inflated prices during the festive season.
CAA Chairman Hemantha Samarakoon has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudulent traders.
Meanwhile, the authority has initiated special testing of coconut oil samples from shops nationwide to prevent unsafe products from entering the market.
The CAA confirmed that legal action will be taken against any trader found selling coconut oil unfit for consumption.
