The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has launched an investigation into allegations of misuse of the President’s Fund, involving 22 individuals, including several prominent politicians.
The CID has formally reported the matter to the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, filing a B report to initiate the inquiry.
Further developments in the case are expected as investigations progress.
