Consumer Affairs Authority Launches Island-Wide Raids on Price Hikes

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced that island-wide raids will commence today to identify shops selling goods at inflated prices.

This initiative is being carried out in response to unjustified price increases during the festive season.

CAA Chairman Hemantha Samarakoon urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid being deceived by vendors overcharging for essential goods.
