Former UNP Deputy Leader and MP Ravi Karunanayake asserts that he is the longest-serving United National Party (UNP) member in Parliament after President Ranil Wickremesinghe and currently the only UNP representative in the legislature.
Speaking to ceylonwire.lk, Karunanayake revealed that two individuals within the party fear his influence and are attempting to isolate him and several others. He claimed that this has led to his exclusion from key party discussions.
However, he insisted that such tactics would not hinder the progress of loyal UNP members like him. Karunanayake further warned that these individuals’ arbitrary actions are driving the party toward destruction. He stressed the need for unity and the formation of a strong alliance to secure victory for the UNP.
