The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has launched a WhatsApp hotline (071 4033300) for the public to submit written complaints and appeals directly to the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
As part of efforts to enhance public service efficiency under the new government, the initiative aims to facilitate quick and direct communication with service recipients.
Clients can now send written complaints or appeals via WhatsApp to the Commissioner General or the department at 071 4033300.
Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe assured that prompt action will be taken on complaints received through the platform.
Additionally, the department has launched a TELL DMT Facebook page, providing another channel for the public to engage with the Department of Motor Traffic.
