Financial Crimes Investigation Division to Operate Under Deputy Inspector General of Police

Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala, has announced plans to place the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) under the authority of a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).

Speaking on the restructuring, the minister stated that the FCID will remain under the oversight of a Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) within the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), ensuring both oversight and efficiency.
