Former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte was granted bail today after being involved in a traffic accident while driving under the influence of alcohol.
The incident occurred in the Kollupitiya area, where Ratwatte’s vehicle collided with another. Preliminary police investigations confirmed that the former minister was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Ratwatte was presented before the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court yesterday (9), where he was released on bail. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
