The Sri Lankan Embassy in South Korea has confirmed that no Sri Lankans have been harmed by the ongoing forest fires in the country’s southeastern regions.
The embassy stated that it is closely monitoring the situation of Sri Lankans residing in the affected areas. Currently, around 35,000 Sri Lankan workers are in South Korea.
The fires have claimed four lives so far, while continuous efforts are underway to bring them under control.
