President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Inaugurates “FACETS Sri Lanka – 2025” International Gem and Jewellery Exhibition

The “FACETS Sri Lanka – 2025 International Gem and Jewellery Exhibition” was officially inaugurated today (04) by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

Following the inauguration, the President toured the exhibition, inspecting the gem and jewellery stalls, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).

Highlights of the Exhibition
Organizers: The event is hosted by the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association (SLGJA) in collaboration with the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) and the Export Development Board (EDB).
31st Edition: Celebrating over three decades, FACETS remains Asia’s leading gem and jewellery showcase.
Global Participation: Delegations from China, India, the United States, Europe, and other nations, along with first-time participants from globally renowned companies, are attending.
Local Representation: Entrepreneurs from key industry hubs such as Ratnapura, Elahara, Beruwala, Eheliyagoda, Galle, and Colombo are displaying their exceptional craftsmanship.
Objectives and Vision
The exhibition aims to create business opportunities for traders, exporters, and industry professionals while highlighting Sri Lanka’s heritage and sustainability in the sector. Organizers have set a target of surpassing USD 1 billion in gem and jewellery exports.
