PUCSL Receives Over 500 Public Submissions on Electricity Tariff Revision

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that it received over 500 submissions from the public during its feedback process regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision.

PUCSL Chairman, Professor K.P.L. Chandralal, noted that the feedback-gathering initiative included representation from all provinces, with over 70 individuals formally registered to participate.

The public consultation process concluded on January 10, and the Commission is now finalizing its findings. The final report on the proposed tariff revisions is scheduled for release on Friday, January 17, with preparations already in progress, according to the PUCSL.

The feedback process underscores the Commission’s commitment to ensuring public participation in decisions impacting utility costs.
