Sri Lanka’s Workers’ Remittances Reach USD 6.58 Billion in 2024, Up 10.1%

Workers’ remittances in 2024 totaled USD 6,575 million, reflecting a 10.1% year-on-year increase from USD 5,970 million in 2023, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

In December 2024 alone, remittances amounted to USD 614 million, highlighting continued inflows from Sri Lankans working abroad.
