The Meteorology Department predicts several spells of showers across the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Additionally, showers or thundershowers are likely in a few locations within the Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in the Kalutara and Kandy districts during the afternoon or night.
Misty conditions are anticipated in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, and in the Kurunegala district during the morning.
The general public is advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
