The audit of all types of firearms issued for personal safety has been successfully completed, according to the Ministry of Defence.
The ministry announced that legal action will be taken against license holders who failed to comply with the issued orders, under the Firearms Ordinance No. 33 of 1916.
A total of 1,697 firearms had been issued to civilians for personal safety purposes.
