The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has reported that tourist arrivals in January 2024 have exceeded 200,000, marking a strong start to the year for the country’s tourism sector.
Between January 1 and 26, a total of 212,838 tourists visited Sri Lanka, according to SLTDA data.
India led the list of arrivals with 37,383 visitors, followed by significant numbers from Russia, Britain, Germany, China, and France.
The increase in tourist arrivals reflects a positive trend for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry as it continues to recover and expand.
