Deputy Minister Sunil Watagala has been appointed to act as the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs during the absence of Minister Ananda Wijepala, who is currently on an official visit abroad.
In addition, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Lalith Pathinayake has been appointed to act as the Inspector General of Police while IGP Priyantha Weerasuriya is away.
