Sri Lankan Authorities Seize Record Stock of Illegal Pesticides in Jaffna

A massive stock of illegal pesticides, valued at approximately 50 million rupees, was seized in Jaffna during a joint operation conducted by the Jaffna Military Intelligence Corps and the Police Special Task Force.

Authorities have confirmed that this is the largest haul of illegal pesticides ever confiscated in the Northern Province.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of three suspects, who are currently being held for further investigation.

The seizure highlights ongoing efforts by Sri Lankan law enforcement to crack down on the illicit trade of harmful substances that pose risks to agriculture and public safety.
