Sri Lanka Customs has exceeded its revenue target for September, collecting Rs. 199.348 billion against a monthly target of Rs. 195.596 billion, according to the latest figures.
As of September 22, Customs had collected approximately Rs. 3.752 billion more than the target set for the entire month.
The strong performance also brings the department closer to achieving its overall revenue target for 2026.
Sri Lanka Customs has been assigned an annual revenue target of Rs. 2,206.995 billion for 2026. As of September 22, it had collected Rs. 2,058.033 billion, representing more than 93% of the annual target.
Approximately Rs. 148.962 billion remains to be collected to reach the full-year target.
Sri Lanka Customs also recorded strong revenue performance in 2025, when it exceeded its annual target and collected a total of Rs. 2,557.535 billion.
