Over 350 Election Law Violations Reported; 35 Candidates Arrested Ahead of May 6 Polls

Police have received a total of 363 complaints related to violations of election laws since the announcement of the Local Government elections on March 3.

Of these, 95 complaints pertain to criminal offences.

According to police, 35 candidates have been arrested so far, along with 155 of their supporters.

In the past 24 hours alone, 20 new complaints regarding election law violations have been reported.

The Local Government elections are scheduled to be held on May 6.
